North Central Regional Database

NCR-Stat (North Central Region) shows a map of USA with NCR in light green.NCR-Stat is a North Central Regional database developed by NCRCRD as a venue and incentive for interdisciplinary collaboration across states and across research and Extension. All datasets are open access.

The purpose of the NCR-Stat database is to decrease the barriers for institutions to study regional changes and conduct comparative research, as well as increase regional collaboration for both research and Extension. In addition to conducting the surveys, NCRCRD facilitates regional collaboration for survey development, data collection methods, data analysis that leads to publications, and educational curricula.

STAT Surveys in other U.S. Regions

In collaboration with our sister Regional Rural Development Centers, NCRCRD conducted select NCR-Stat surveys in the Northeast, Southern, and Western regions. This innovative data initiative with the Northeast Regional Center for Rural Development (NERCRD), Southern Rural Development Center (SRDC), and the Western Regional Development Center expands research opportunities within all regions and nationally. All datasets are open access.

NER-Stat (Northeast Region), SR-Stat (Southern Region), and WR-Stat (Western Region) and showing maps of each region.

Stat Surveys in Other Regions

How are you using the Stat datasets?

The NCRCRD is interested in learning how people use the Stat datasets. To do that we’ve created this brief survey to begin collecting citations or project descriptions that reference the Stat datasets (i.e, journal articles, online dashboards, classroom projects, etc). The information we collect through this survey will be added to an internal spreadsheet that we hope to share as a searchable database on our website in the future. We appreciate your interest and assistance in this project. Thank you!
