Webinar: How Can Communities Address the Great Resignations? & Work Ready Life Skills Curriculum Preps Applicants for Job Openings Around the Country

Date: March 10, 2 PM-3:30 PM (ET)

Description:
The surge in the number of workers quitting their jobs in recent months has been unprecedented in the U.S. labor force. Drawing on the monthly “Job Openings and Labor Turnover Studies” released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the webinar will share data on the nature and extent of the “Great Resignations” in Indiana. Possible strategies for addressing labor force challenges will be offered, many that can be supported by Extension community development educators and other practitioners.

The biggest skills gap for many of Indiana’s first-time workers is in the areas of problem solving, collaboration and communication. Purdue Extension developed Work Ready to teach the critical life skills our workforce needs to be successful in their first job. Join us in this webinar to learn how to implement the Work Ready Curriculum, the target audience, success stories and where to find the curriculum.
